Kosher Food and Wine Expo in LA 3/2

Held in select cities around the world including London, NYC (today Feb. 29), Los Angeles (Weds. March 2), Miami, Chicago,  and in Israel,  the 10th Annual Kosher Food & Wine Experience #KFWE offers the largest selection of kosher wine and spirits under one roof.

Sponsored by The Royal Wine Company, a global brand that includes Herzog Wines which make their home in nearby Oxnard, KFWE has grown in 10 years to be a destination of choice for serious wine lovers and foodies, kosher or not.

KFWE comes to The Petersen Automotive Museum, 6060 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036. Los Angeles on Weds. March 2, 2016. Limited general admission tickets are still available for $125 each, but the event is expected to sell out.

During the afternoon, from 1-4pm, the event is open exclusively to the trade and press, and more than 300 wines and spirits will be on hand for sampling with many new wines making their debut at the show.

Acclaimed wine and spirits from 11 countries including France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, and Australia will travel to LA for the event March 2, including Baron Herzog and Herzog Cellars, Baron Rothschild, Bartenura, and Laurent Perrier. Complete list of wines and participating wineries here.

In addition to tasting wine and spirits, the public evening event from 6:30-9:30pm features top caterers and restaurants offering tastings from their menus of gourmet specialty foods including BBQ, sushi and Asian/fusion fare, as well as creative desserts to spotlight the hottest kosher cuisine on the West Coast with chefs from across Southern California and to dazzle foodies near and far with a mouth-watering parade of inspired dishes. (List of participating restaurants here).

The Peterson Automotive Museum‘s distinct 1962 architecture  by world renowned Welton Becket provides the venue for the event. From the beginning, The Petersen Automotive Museum chose to collect and preserve historic vehicles, and to display them in context to give them real meaning and a better experience for all who would come to visit–instead of in rows like parking lot. The “Streetscape” offers architectural elements for the vehicles that surround them, immersing visitors deep into the stories of life during the time period of the car. The second floor features rotating exhibit areas and the third floor featured the Discovery Center which taught art and science through the automobile to children of all ages. Over 300 vehicles are in the rotating collection.
