7. Because I write about unusual wine locations like Marfa, Texas and Burning Man.
8. Because I know a lot about wine — I started in wine 40 years ago pouring for Ridge, I’ve been writing about wine in print and online for 30 years including for Slow Wine Guide, and I was on the US Wine Tasting Team (for reals!!).
9. Because I know a lot about ecology and the land— I have degrees in environmental studies and ecopsychology, and I’ve worked in conservation biology.
10. Because I have been a radio, print, photo and TV journalist since high school!
