Merry Christmas! And happy all the things! As Christmas/Hanukkah 2024 comes to a close, I’m finally relaxing by the Christmas tree with a glass of Port and some of Sue’s Christmas cookies! Here’s to a Merry Christmas and a happy Hanakkuh! We opened presents, made a delicious breakfast, then walked along the Pacific Ocean along the Ventura promenade enjoying conversations and views of the Channel Islands, the pier, surfers, and stacked rock art.

So important to catch as much light as possible during these darker days. And to take advantage of all we can while we can. We’ve been hitting the beach for a walk and often with sunset every night we can.

What a dinner featuring a smoked and grilled prime rib roast and Brussels sprouts stalk paired with the end of the Napa cabs here plus a 2000 Napa cab blend! Marshall smoked and the finished the prime rib on a fire; he coated the Brussels sprouts in oil, wrapped the stalk in foil, grilled it, removed the foil, then finished it on the fire. So much yum!

The new Dylan biopic and chocolate rum pecan pie with port closed out the evening. No dishwasher so grateful that teamwork makes the dream work! Lots to appreciate!
