Just think about it! Maybe you need to do a little wine blogging or tweeting right after work? Or maybe you’re doing #winechat this Wednesday May 14 from 6-7pm with Napa Valley’s Cairdean Estate?
Just pack up your glasses and your wine and you’ll be set!
For this week’s #winechat, I’m excited about tasting Cairdean Estate’s Malbec as well as a 43% Roussanne, 43% Pinot Gris, 14% Viogner which is a special blend and bottling to honor the life of Haley Margaret Dowdell and to help raise awareness and funding for others who battle Cystic Fibrosis; $10 of every bottle goes to that cause. Cairidean is a newer winery in the St Helena area owned by Edwin and Stacia Williams: winemaker Stacia studied eonology at CSU Fresno where Edwin grew up.
This custom bike (or custom accessory for YOUR bike!) is available from Fat Kitty Cycles, an employee owned and operated shop in Boulder, CO which offers a mix of new, used, reused, and consignment bicycle sales. They can also fix up that old bike in the garage with some love to make it last another ten years!
More than half of the U.S. population lives within five miles of their workplace, making bicycling a feasible, fun way to get to work. With increased interest in healthy, sustainable and economic transportation options (see this article about active transportation cutting back on obesity and diabetes ), this is the perfect time to break out your bike, ride to work, and celebrate after with a little vino!
Maybe I’ll even see you on Wednesday for #winechat!
Hmmn, this has got me thinking: who would be interested in joining me for “Walking off Whine and Wine”?

Will you ride your bike to work this week? I did–today to conferences with students! But not this bike!

Great post! I bike to work every day all year round (unless there is ice), and I need to get me one of those bikes!
